Ahhh, not only was her face pretty but her thoughtfulness was even more beautiful. Si Hyun pinched Bora’s soft cheek.

“But what are you working on so late, Deputy Kang?”
“The new director wants me to go through all the logs of the existing apps and draw a new journey map.”
Si Hyun gritted her teeth as she replied.

“Wow, that’s too much.”
Bora understood quickly and opened her pretty eyes wide.

Knowing her well, Bora knew exactly Si Hyun’s taste. She knew what kind of bread, vegetables, and sauce were in the sandwich. The sandwich Bora brought was just to Si Hyun’s liking.

“Then you mustn’t have had a proper dinner.”
“I just had a triangle gimbap. Thanks to Bora, I survived.”
As Si Hyun was eating the sandwich, Bora quickly inserted a straw into the coffee and handed it over. The iced Americano with a hint of syrup was exactly to Si Hyun’s taste.

“How can you be so perfect, Bora?”
Si Hyun looked at Bora with newly admiring eyes.

Bora was pretty, had a good figure, was welleducated, came from a good family, and even had a good personality. In the company, she was even called a goddess, but the one who rolled up her sleeves first for dirty work was Bora.

[This is something a newcomer should do!] She always had a bright smile, worked hard on whatever she was told, and was kind to everyone. Especially to her boss, Si Hyun, she was as obedient as a tongue in the mouth.

How could she not be loved?

“But there is someone else who is perfect.”
However, Bora said something unexpected.

“I’m talking about the new director. With his abilities and looks, isn’t he really a scam character?”
In the past, she would have eagerly agreed out of pride. But now, she didn’t want to hear about Tae Ha, so Si Hyun waved her hand.

“Don’t even mention the director. I get tired just hearing about him.”
It wasn’t just that he was annoying because he gave her hard work.

Before Bora joined the company, Si Hyun was the only UX designer at Future Bank. Most of the apps released so far, big or small, had gone through Si Hyun’s hands. Si Hyun was proud of her work and career.

But Tae Ha seemed to have been undermining everything she had done so far. As if she was obsessing over useless features!

Without understanding Si Hyun’s feelings, Bora kept bringing up Tae Ha.

If she had heard this question a day earlier, she would have laughed at its absurdity. I’ve known Yoon Tae Ha since I was nine years old, why would I blush or feel nervous.

But for some reason, she couldn’t laugh now.

Si Hyun suddenly thought. It was a good idea to keep a distance from Tae Ha. Not just because of Woo Jin, but she felt a strong intuition that it was necessary.

Concealing her inner feelings, Si Hyun admonished Bora.

“Do you know how old the Director is? He’s the same age as you, Bora. He’s seven years older than me.”
“What’s wrong with a sevenyear age difference? Nowadays, couples with the woman being even more than ten years older are often on TV.”
“That’s for celebrities!”
But Bora was persistent. Looking straight into Si Hyun’s eyes, she asked as if to make a promise.

“So, Deputy Director, you don’t have any interest in the Director, right?”
At this point, she wondered if Bora knew something. Bora, who was looking at Si Hyun with slightly irritated eyes, suddenly stuck out her tongue and laughed.

“Bora, you’re wearing a pretty necklace?”
It was a necklace from the same brand that made Bora believe that Si Hyun was being proposed to and made her imagine things. The small pink pendant shaped like a clover looked good on Bora’s slim neck.

Bora touched the necklace and smiled.

“I bought it as a gift for myself because it’s spring. What do you think?”
“It suits you perfectly. I haven’t thought about buying anything like that until now.”
Si Hyun felt a bit of regret. I should have occasionally bought something nice, even if it was expensive, instead of saving money for a wedding when I was young and beautiful.

“But Bora, who knew how to treat herself with expensive gifts, felt envious and cool.

“But, Deputy Manager.”
Suddenly, Bora changed the topic.

“Don’t you need more people in the Wonapp team?”
“Why is that?”
“Because I want to join too. It’s not fun to work without you….”

“Still, I want to work with you, Deputy Manager.”
Bora stated, sounding somewhat stubborn.

Tae Ha, who used to be the first to arrive at work. He stopped when he saw Si Hyun sleeping on her desk. She seemed to have stayed up all night, not just working overtime.

Looking at the sleeping Si Hyun, Tae Ha smirked and muttered to himself.

“Hmm.”
Perhaps she felt cold in her sleep, Si Hyun shivered, shrugging her shoulders.

Tae Ha picked up the blanket on the floor and gently covered it over Si Hyun’s shoulders.

“…….”
A silent sigh settled in the chilly office.
