In response to Ho Yeon’s surprised and dumbfounded question, the secretary spoke again.

“Ms. Chae Yoon Song has been assigned to Director Han Jae Oh’s secretary office. The purpose is not secretarial work, but rather to learn from Director Han.”

Upon hearing the secretary’s added explanation, Ho Yeon’s eyes narrowed further in disbelief.

‘Learning even after such a contentious divorce? Why on earth?’

Numerous questions flooded her mind, but the most burning of them all was: who came up with such an idea?

Ho Yeon, trying to gauge the cause of the situation, furrowed her brow and remained silent.

Then, her secretary said,

“From what I’ve heard, not only did they add staff to Director Han Jae Oh’s office, but they’ve also filled positions in other executive secretary offices, including the chairman’s.”

The corners of Ho Yeon’s mouth curved up in a smirk.

It was clear that staffing other secretary offices was meant to keep things quiet.

‘The only person who would go to such lengths for Chae Yoon’s sake…’

It had to be Ji Pil.

‘If it’s that old man who cherishes Song Chae Yoon, he would still have more to offer.’

Moreover, hadn’t he visited Chae Yoon’s home over the weekend with Jae Oh?

There must have been an incident then that led to this decision.

She needed to gauge the depth of Jae Oh’s feelings towards Chae Yoon and determine whether Ji Pil had any involvement in the secretary office assignment. Knowing this would help her decide her next move, so Ho Yeon reached out to Kyung Hee.

“Hello, madam.”

[Dash] Oh, Ho Yeon. What’s up?

“I was just wondering if you received the gift I sent.”

She feigned a casual greeting, but Kyung Hee caught on immediately.

Hearing that Jae Oh had upset Sang Heon, Kyung Hee sighed heavily.

‘This boy, is he blind? Or just thoughtless?’

She simply couldn’t fathom how someone could act with such disregard for others.
Kyung Hee was displeased, seeing how business still thrived despite such insolence.

[Dash] “Perhaps it would be best for the madam to speak with the elder chairman. What do you think?”

After a moment of contemplation, Kyung Hee responded.

“I understand. I’ll do that. Is Chairman Kwon very displeased?”

“Understood. Please extend my apologies to the chairman.”

The call came to an end.

Upon hearing the call termination tone, Kyung Hee removed her phone from her ear and sank deep into thought.
