“Can you make some time next week?”

Eun Chae got up at 9 and had toast and coffee, settling on the sofa. Just as she was about to turn on the TV, her phone rang. It was Hyun Ju.
“Hello?”
“Yeah, just woke up. But why are you calling so early?”
[Hyun Ju] Hey, you have to report what happened after I left yesterday.“What report?”
[Hyun Ju] About you and Siwoo. I was dying of curiosity last night.“What happened? We just had coffee and then parted ways.”

Eun Chae went downstairs just as Juwon’s car pulled up.
She opened the passenger door and turned to greet Juwon. To her surprise, his usually styled hair was naturally down, and he was wearing a white tee with a beige cardigan, looking refreshingly handsome.
“Why are you staring at me like that?”
Juwon asked, noticing Eun Chae’s intense gaze.
“Uh? Oh… You look kind of pretty today.”
“……What?”
Juwon asked in disbelief.
“No, with your hair down and dressed like this… you look very fresh.”
Juwon narrowed his eyes at her.
“Fresh… as in?”
“Yeah. Fresh and pretty.”
Juwon blinked robotically and then said to Eun Chae.
“Isn’t that something… usually said from a man to a woman?”
“Can’t men be pretty and fresh?”
Eun Chae chuckled in response.
Juwon cleared his throat and looked ahead.
“Have you thought about what to eat?”
“What about you? Anything you want?”
“No preference. Let’s have whatever you feel like.”
“Then, um… there’s a place near the cinema that makes great homemade burgers. Shall we go there?”
“Sure. Let’s do that.”
