She exited her apartment, took the elevator down, and started walking towards the park’s walking trail near the apartment. The hellish events of yesterday kept disturbing her mind.

She started to walk at a fast pace, then started to run. She was crying so much that she wondered if she had ever shed so many tears in her life.

As she ran and cried, her chest kept feeling tight and her breathing became faster. She found it increasingly difficult to breathe. Unknowingly, she stopped in her tracks, but she couldn’t calm her breathing.

Tears kept flowing from her eyes, wetting her face. So Myung began to feel very tired and dizzy.

Unaware, she collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath. Then a worried voice reached her ears.

“Are you okay?”
She could only feel the presence of a man, as her vision was blurred.

Do Ha was doing his morning routine of jogging. Although he hadn’t lived here long, this park had satisfied him. He was a fitness enthusiast.

Exercising relieved his stress and allowed him to start the day in a fresh mood. While enjoying the morning air, he had been running for a while when he saw a woman gasping for breath in the distance.

He thought she had overexerted herself running, but eventually, she collapsed to the ground. It looked like something was wrong.

Do Ha quickly ran over to her side. The moment he looked at the woman on the ground, gasping for breath, with a worried expression, his mouth dropped open in surprise. It was the woman he had met at the farm yesterday.

But she didn’t recognize him, and she was gasping for breath with cloudy eyes.

Do Ha approached her, crouched down, quickly grabbed her arms with both of his hands, and swiftly helped her up.

He picked her up and started running like a madman. Fortunately, there was a large hospital right next to the apartment. He thought that this would be faster than calling an ambulance.

The doctor who examined her diagnosed her with hyperventilation syndrome, and the nurse gave her a bag. With trembling hands, she barely took the bag and began to breathe slowly.

After repeating this behavior several times, So Myung’s breathing gradually stabilized. As her breathing stabilized, she seemed to relax and lay down on the bed to rest. As soon as the nurse hung up the IV, she fell asleep instantly.

Do Ha didn’t feel good looking at her sleeping face. The words of the doctor he heard earlier were on his mind.

The sight of her struggling to breathe earlier flashed in front of his eyes. He, too, had been sick before, so he thought he knew that pain.

He looked at her sleeping face, got up from his spot, made the payment, and thought for a while.

Do Ha called his secretary, asked about the design team leaders, and found out Ji Sung’s phone number.

His secretary felt it strange that the CEO was making a call this early in the morning.

Do Ha began calling Ji Sung. After several rings, Ji Sung picked up the call.

Do Ha always needed about an hour to prepare before going to work, and he was the type to place a lot of importance on fashion and physical appearance. He considered this part of his job.

It was his first time ever experiencing something like this riding the elevator with wet hair, shoes crumpled at the heel, and without a tie.

He always took his time to prepare, and being late was something that could not be tolerated. His secretary, anxious, was lingering in front of the elevator.

Do Ha had just stepped out of the elevator in front of his secretary, who was checking the time. Seeing him, the secretary broke into a smile.

“Sir, you’re really amazing. Truly.”
As soon as Do Ha and his secretary got in the car, his sedan sped out of the underground parking lot at an astonishing speed.

Do Ha tied his tie in the car, lost in thought.

‘I’ve experienced all sorts of things in life.’
As he was about to leave the apartment parking lot, So Myung caught his eye. His eyes automatically widened, focusing on her.

His secretary, finding Do Ha’s sudden action strange, cautiously asked him.

“Sir? Is something wrong? Did you perhaps forget something?”
“Ah… No.”
“Yes, understood.”
He managed to respond to his secretary while still keeping his gaze fixed on So Myung, lost in his thoughts.
